Clauiano Mosaics & More
Our story begins with the passion for mosaic, the love for our land and a great idea.
Inebriating just like the birth of nature in spring, last year an ambitious project was developed in the town of Clauiano, in Friuli Venezia Giulia.
The project was born thanks to Matteo Pizzutti and Master Giulio Menossi's intuition, Mrs. Pamela Givens' (president of the CMA) support and the participation of some young local helpers who wanted to organize a great event, the first International contemporary mosaic art gallery in 2012, who offered two months of art exhibitions in the town of Clauiano, one of the most beautiful boroughs in Italy.
An incredible mosaic art gallery involving 38 artists from 13 different countries.
The great success of the first edition motivated us to realize the second one in 2013 with 40 masterpieces made by 32 artists from 17 different countries (Austria, Brazil, Canada, Cyprus, France, Germany, Israel, Italy, Holland, Czech Republic, Scotland, Serbia, South Africa, Spain, Switzerland, Turkey, U.S.A.)
Particularly important has been the 2014 edition, named tesserae, during the " most beautiful boroughs of Italy " award edition in Gradisca d'Isonzo (GO), which also involved the town of Clauiano.
The association organized the third edition of international mosaics that displayed a more than a 100 different mosaics in three prestigious locations: The historical boroughs of Clauiano & Gradisca d'Isonzo, and the world heritage site of Aquileia, at the national archeological museum.
“An art exhibition made of research, suggestions, dreams and passion, a gathering of people, artists, forms, ideas, colors, technique, and creativity.
Not just an art exhibition, a place to let the heart run free”
Giulio Menossi - Artistic director
